The EMBRACE II study has been awarded the prestigious Donal Hollywood Award at the ESTRO annual congress in May 2025. This award recognizes the best abstract selected for presentation at the congress, based on criteria such as clarity, scientific rigor, potential significance, and innovation.
The winning abstract, titled “EMBRACE II - a multicenter prospective interventional cohort study on IGRT-IMRT+cisplatin+MR-IGABT in locally advanced cervix cancer: overall results,” highlights the study’s significant contributions to advancing image-guided adaptive brachytherapy (IGABT) for locally advanced cervical cancer.
The Donal Hollywood Award is given in memory of the ESTRO President-Elect Donal Hollywood, who passed away from cancer. It is a testament to the EMBRACE II study’s dedication to improving cervical cancer care through personalized radiation therapy.
The abstract will be presented during the Best Papers Session at ESTRO 2025 in Vienna, Austria.
